Description:
As a Service Technician you will be responsible for servicing and calibrating optical measurement equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance. Your duties will include maintaining an ongoing schedule for servicing machines due for calibration, demonstrating proficiency in mechanical and electrical functions related to the equipment, a willingness to learn new technologies associated with measurement systems, providing a high level of customer service, making recommendations to customers with regards to equipment upgrades, and effectively communicating with vendors and customers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience servicing and calibrating measurement equipment is a plus, however, it’s not required as comprehensive field training will be provided on an ongoing basis. Continually developing new skills and technical knowledge that relate to our products and services is a key success factor within our business.
– Aptitude for mechanical and electrical functions as they relate to industrial equipment, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
– Ability to maintain an ongoing schedule for servicing machines due for calibration, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
– Strong communication skills to interact with customers, provide technical support, and explain service procedures clearly and concisely.
– Organizational skills to manage service schedules, maintain records, and coordinate logistics for onsite visits and equipment repairs.
– Technical familiarity with Windows-based software used for data analysis, calibration management, and reporting.
– Technical familiarity with PC-based hardware components and peripherals, including interfaces, sensors, and control systems.
– Ability to work with impartiality, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect for customer confidentiality.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
– Timeliness and accuracy of equipment calibration and servicing tasks.
– Customer satisfaction ratings based on feedback surveys and service evaluations.
– Number of successful equipment repairs completed within specified timeframes.
– Compliance with service schedules and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
– Effectiveness of communication and technical support provided to customers.
– Continuous improvement initiatives, including suggestions for process enhancements and workflow optimizations as well as additional training and skill development.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
– Competitive compensation plan that includes salary and commission in the range of $35,000-$40,000 annual.
