Summary:
The Residential Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, repair, and
maintenance of residential properties. This role involves troubleshooting and fixing various maintenance
issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs. The technician must provide
prompt and efficient service to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for residents.
Responsibilities:

Build and maintain effective tenant relations through professional and friendly communications,
timely responsiveness to any needs and expectations regarding the spaces and properties.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of residential buildings, common areas, and
individual units.
Diagnose and repair minor plumbing issues (e.g., leaking faucets, clogged drains, running
toilets).
Repair or replace electrical components, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
Conduct HVAC maintenance, including filter replacement and troubleshooting minor heating or
cooling issues.
Handle basic carpentry, drywall repair, and painting as needed.
Operate company vehicles including company plow truck and skid steer loader.
Shovel snow and salting sidewalks and parking lots
Pool maintenance and chemical monitoring
Landscape maintenance including installing mulch and plants.
Assist with appliance repairs and replacements.
Travel to other properties to assist other Building Technicians as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Qualifications:
Must have strong communication skills.
Basic math skills required.
Working knowledge of power tools and equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to make required repairs.
Read and comprehend plans and blueprints.
Mechanical skills and prior experience in maintenance functions.
Organized and efficient in time management skills and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
Capable of working safely and following all OSHA regulations and requirements.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Driver’s License.
Customer Service Experience.
Trade Experience.
