Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Service Department Operations
Provide prompt, dependable and high quality vehicle service to internal and external customers
Complete repair work within schedule or allotted time period whenever possible
Continually improve this “efficiency” skill
Minimize comebacks and deal with them promptly and satisfactorily when they do occur
Maintain clean, safe and efficient facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities

Accept work assignments from service planner
Request parts for a job as early as possible when needs become know
Perform service, repair and customization work in accordance to factory specifications
Notify service planner if additional work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that the customer may be contacted and notified of the delay
Keep customer’s vehicles cleaner then when it was dropped off
After job us finished, ensure proper completion of filing of paperwork
Keep work area as clean as possible and assist others when maintaining shop cleanliness
Assist service planner, when requested, with writing up work orders, communicating with customers, test riding, or any other issue which will help ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain technical (PHD and other) qualifications by completing necessary training programs assigned
Suggest additional service labor and parts as needed
Assist service planner in performance estimates
Road test all motorcycles to ensure customer satisfaction
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of a factory authorized formal training program such as MMI Service School or equivalent work experience
Current motorcycle endorsement on your license
Ability to safely operate motorcycles in various weather conditions
Ability to be trained on a forklift
Knowledge and experience with servicing of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and other products sold by the dealership
Service technicians need both basic and special tools to properly diagnose and service our products
All service technicians are required to own a set of tools within 60 days of hire.
Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud
Will spend the majority of time on feet
Potential exposure to battery acid, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic material commonly found in motor vehicle sales/service department
Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles
Occasionally required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. of materials
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts
Occasionally requires the ability to balance and push and 800+ lb. motorcycle.

Pay: $30,000.00 – $40,000.00 per year
