Position Overview:
Our company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and machinery. This role focuses on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience with industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and electrical components.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, furnace, electrical systems, and other facility-related systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Follow preventative maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and machine guarding requirements.
Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to emergency maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues, and minimize production delays.
Record Keeping: Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth equipment operations.
Inventory Support: Assist with managing spare parts inventory by identifying necessary supplies for repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical systems, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, welding, and equipment diagnostics. Familiarity with PLCs and automation systems is a plus.
Certifications: Maintenance-related certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical) are desirable.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to address and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Communication: Basic verbal and written communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and temperature extremes.

Industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair
Preventative and predictive maintenance practices
Mechanical systems repair (motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors)
Electrical troubleshooting (120V–480V systems)
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems diagnostics and repair
PLC troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) diagnostics
Welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, Stick)
Furnace maintenance and temperature control systems
Conveyor systems maintenance
Motor controls and relay logic
Equipment alignment and calibration
HVAC and facility systems maintenance
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) experience
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Root cause analysis
Spare parts inventory management

Monday-Friday, some weekends

Wage:
Competitive hourly pay starting at $25/hr with overtime opportunities, based on experience
