The Job:
As an Engineering Technician, Engines, you’ll be part of our Valley City, Ohio team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to:
• Perform emission tests per regulation while providing traceable compliant results.
• Maintain emission calibration to government level of compliance.
• Perform testing and maintain calibration to proper level for engine under test.
• Calibrate all engine emission testing instrumentation and data acquisition systems as part of routing monthly calibration sequence.
• Perform routine maintenance on all engine emission testing equipment.
• Set up and execute PLT audit testing per EPA, CARB and European requirements.
• Prepare the test article for evaluation including engine prep, certification fuels and emission bench controls for specific test requirements.
• Collect emission test data and reports the results to engineering staff based on test mode and requirements as outlined in request or Federal code.
• Configure and run high-speed data acquisition systems as required based on test protocol.
• Troubleshoot test systems and report to manufacturer and manager to obtain resolution.
• Maintain EPA protocol fuel and calibration gas supplies specific to bench in operation.

· High School Diploma or GED
· Proven ability to operate and learn technical equipment… including but not limited to personal computers, emission equipment, calibration equipment, etc
· Ability to interact with engineering peers and management at all levels and take direction involving critical projects
· Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
