Summary: Assists the Doctor with dental functions as well as the preparation and clean-up of treatment areas by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
1. Seats, prepares, and dismisses patients as well as provides oral or written pre-operative and post-operative treatment instructions. *
2. Performs preparatory procedures such as taking, developing, and mounting single PA’s, BW’s, and FMX’s, and takes and develops panoramic x-rays on a daily basis. *
3. Assists Doctor chairside with a variety of procedures and maintains Doctor’s work schedule and patient flow between operatories. *
4. Takes and develops extra and intra-oral radiographs as prescribed by the Doctor. *
5. Takes impressions accurately and according to training; pours the impressions according to instruction with appropriate dental stone and trims models. *
6. Prepares work areas to include stocking, setting up, breaking down, and cleaning as needed. *
7. Applies knowledge and ability regarding tray, instrument and equipment set up, break down, management, and sterilization procedures. *
8. Performs handpiece and instrument sterilization and management. *
9. Maintains the sterilization area to include cleaning instruments and restocking trays. *
10. Sets up treatment areas for appointment including paper products and disposable and designated instruments / materials as needed for procedures. *
11. Maintains general dental office equipment including, but not limited to, the suction system, x-ray processor, and all sterilization equipment. *
12. Remains aware of stock levels at all times and ensures stick is ordered and filled in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring orders are in compliance with company regulations and policies. *
13. Establishes and maintains contact with suppliers and sales representatives regarding supplies as needed. *
14. Maintains the updating and accuracy of patient charts. *
15. Performs duties to include resetting and treating tofflemire bands, refilling cotton roll holders, refilling articulating papers, and other such activities. *
16. Tracks all incoming and outgoing laboratory cases. *
17. Prepares night guards, crowns, bridges, partials, dentures and other lab cases for the laboratory with a detailed list of pertinent information and submits to Doctor for approval. *
18. Follows all company policies and procedures, paying special attention to patient care and safety. *
19. Completes all continuing education units. *
20. Maintains required vaccinations and testing. *
21. Provides support to office personnel when primary responsibilities are completed including, but not limited to, confirming appointments and / or filling schedule.
22. Files patient charts, checks in with Doctor / Business Manager, and maintains a clean work environment.
23. Maintains the ability to assist the Dental Hygienist team.
24. Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to learn competency of office’s practice management software and have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Education / Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and equivalent combination of education and experience.

$16-$18 hourly rate
