Description:
Machine Operator position in our Secondary Operations Department; which includes lathing, tapping, packing/inspection, roll threading, and crimping machines.

Safety and accuracy are both crucial, expected, and of the highest priority in this position. Machine Operators are producing and handling steel fasteners used in primarily automotive applications.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Machine operation, machine set-up, troubleshooting, adjustments, performing quality checks, recording data into computer-based ERP system, printing labels, assembling pallets/pallet boxes, physically moving boxes, dumping scrap, executing routine maintenance/ preventive maintenance, and assists in cleaning and organizing (5S) of Secondary Operations Department areas.

Must be able to work in a collaborative environment.

Required Skills:
Well qualified candidates will possess the following at minimum:
• Reliable attendance and transportation is essential and expected
• 2-3 Years of experience in machine operation preferred; creating/forming/machining steel products in a manufacturing setting
(Entry level is considered – must demonstrate mechanical aptitude)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (8 Hour standard shift)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted / Average up to 30 lbs. repetitively where job may dictate
• Ability to utilize an ERP system, including computer terminal and scan guns, to record job related data
• Ability to read and interpret quality standards, specifications, and written instructions
• Superior attention to detail and quality is imperative
• Adherence to strict manufacturing/quality assurance specifications/tolerances is required

Full or Part Time:
Full Time

Hours:
Monday – Friday
6:30 am to 3:30 PM
One hour for lunch plus, in additional to two 10 minute breaks

Wage:
Pay is commensurate with experience starting $19-$20 per hour
