Paint Correction Specialist / Accessories installer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Washes/Preps cars; removes tar and other material from vehicle surfaces.
Performs installation of minor parts and accessories as directed
Cleans floor mats, dashboard, interior door panels, carpets, and other interior surfaces.
Waxes cars; may use High speed buffer and/or DA ( Flex / Rupes)
Selects and uses appropriate cleaning products for a variety of reconditioning tasks, e.g. cleaning glass, rubber, upholstery, and plastic surfaces.
May assist body shop technicians in preparing vehicles for painting: cleaning surfaces, covering glass surfaces and applying masking tape to chrome.
Stores tools and supplies in their proper places.
Keeps the detailing/recon area clean and free of tripping and other hazards.

Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving different variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
