Description:
We are currently seeking applicants for an Inside Sales position. This position requires someone with excellent communication skills who is comfortable in an sales capacity, as well as making cold calls to develop new customers. Candidates must have a willingness to be a “jack of all trades” worker, as we are a small business and often require staff to be flexible and take on duties outside their area of specialization, for example warehouse and clerical work.

Major Responsibilities:
Take phone calls from existing customers, navigate computer system to answer questions, enter orders.
Provide technical support in the selection and troubleshooting of hydraulic products.
Make regular phone calls to develop current customer base as well as establish new customers. Touch base on business needs, current sales, current UHI LTD product offerings. Build rapport and educate customers on product features.
Provide a high level of customer service to all customers, coworkers, vendors, etc…
Develop and maintain working knowledge of Duplomatic and UFI products, as well as competitor products in order to offer UHI LTD provided alternatives whenever possible.
Keep accurate records in UHI LTD systems, document processes for cross-training, vacation coverage.
Report any trends, concerns, customer issues, and significant opportunities to management for additional follow-up.

Required Skills:
Working knowledge of hydraulic parts and applications (will train)
Help customers choose the right products to fit their application or needs (will train)
The ability to read and understand hydraulic part sheets (will train)
The ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Basic computer skills including word processing and e-mail, or ability to develop such skills
The ability to use basic hand tools for use on hydraulic parts
Self-Starter – the ability to see a need, and initiative to try and fill it
Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport
Ability to work on a team, positive attitude
Ability to document processes, conversations, and keep systems up to date
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a less structured environment
Excellent listening skills
Creative problem solving / analytical skills
Familiarity with distribution industry (will train)
High School diploma or GED required

Hours:
Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Pay based on experience, paid time-off, as well as a comprehensive medical plan. A Retirement savings plan is also available with company matching contributions.
