The College of Wooster
The College of Wooster is seeking a HVAC Technician to maintain and repair systems and related components, of commercial and residential equipment used for heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration, (HVACR) to provide defined thermal, comfort and indoor air quality levels. As well as provide input during installation and commissioning new systems. Focuses on preventative and corrective repairs to prevent equipment failures.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Certification from college or technical school in HVAC and refrigeration training preferred
Must possess problem solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair systemic issues
Experience with following types of equipment is preferred
Typical heating and cooling systems including: large AHU’s utilizing multi-zones, hot/cold deck, heat wheels, steam and chilled water coils, coupled with economizers and enthalpy control.
Small splits systems, various unit ventilators, and radiant heat that utilizes electric, steam, and hot water
Commercial exhaust fans
Ductwork and coolant piping
Compressors and related components of pneumatic lines
HVAC controls including DDC and pneumatic
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Thorough knowledge of local building codes is required.
Must have valid Ohio driver’s license.
HVAC certification type “Universal” and State of Ohio HVAC license.
Full or Part Time:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
$22.79 – $24.50 per hour
