The Mold Setter Trainee will learn the fundamentals of pulling and setting plastic injection molds and basic processing skills. This position will work directly with the Process Technicians on his or her shift and continue to train and advance towards Mold Technician and then to Process technician.


Mold set-up and removal
Operate tow motor
Setup work area around the presses
Maintain order of all tools and equipment
Clean components
Assist with cleaning the molding/production floor
Mold tear down and assembly
Promote group continuity through effective verbal and written communication.
Enforces all safety rules and regulations as required by local, state, and federal government mandates, including all rules established by plant management and the plant safety committee.

Required Skills:

High School Diploma and 1-2 years’ experience in Injection Molding or other contract manufacturing environment set-up/removal.
Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically). Capable of visual acuity to include distinguishing color variation and detecting defects.
Able to work safely in a production environment; Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements.
Ability and willingness to work in other areas of production (Injection molding machines, pad printing, material handling), as well as overtime when needed.
Technically and mechanically inclined; Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems and fluid power
Able to read blueprints and schematics (preferred)
Efficient in MS Office
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and with others
Ability to prioritize issues, take action, follow through and focus on delivering results
Ability to identify issues, generates solutions, and use relevant information to drive decisions; Proactive troubleshooter and problem solver; Strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task with patience and tenacity. Effective, collaborative team player. A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to achieve integrity on all levels.

Full or Part Time:
Full Time

2nd Shift: M-F 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

3rd Shift: S-Th 11:00 pm – 7:30 am

Pay Range: $15-18/ hour
2nd Shift: $1.00/hour differential
3rd Shift: $2.00/hour differential
