Description:
Northlake Steel is looking for machine operators its Steel Processing Shop. We receive rough turned bars and put them through various processes such as straightening, grinding, shot blasting, heat treating, and polishing to make s smooth finished bar held to a desired size tolerance. Northlake has the ability to run Steel bars anywhere from 1 inch to 16 inches in diameter and up to 72 feet long.

Required Skills:
Experience or ability to learn:

– roll and/or press straightener
– lathe and/or grinder
– saw
– heat treater
– shot blast cabinet
– polisher
– drawbench
– overhead crane
– side loader
– fork lift/tow motor

Full or Part Time:
Full or Part time

Hours:
Monday – Friday
First Shift: 7am – 3:30pm
Second Shift 3:30pm – midnight

Saturday 4am – 11am shift available for overtime or part time employees

Wage:
$17 – $23 an hour based on Shift and Experience
