Description:
\nWe are looking for a full time Optician to join our team. As an Optician you will sell, fit and dispense eyewear to patients. Our Opticians help customers look and see their best working with the latest Eyewear Fashion Trends!<\/p>\n
What you will be doing:<\/p>\n
Remain current with eyewear trends.
\nEvaluate customer’s prescriptions and visual requirements.
\nRecommend specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit client needs.
\nMeasure clients bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers of eyes, using measuring devices.
\nSelling goods such as contact lenses, spectacles, sunglasses, and other goods related to eyes in general.
\nAssist customers in selecting frames according to style and color and ensure that frames are coordinated with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions.
\nHeat and shape plastic or metal frames to adjust eyeglasses to fit clients
\nShow customers how to insert, remove, and care for their contact lenses.
\nDetermine customer’s current lens prescriptions, when necessary, using lensometer or lens analyzers and customer’s eyeglasses.
\nOrder and purchase frames and lenses.<\/p>\n
What you know:<\/p>\n
Required:<\/p>\n
High school diploma or GED equivalent
\nExperience working in customer service
\nExcellent verbal communication skills
\nWilling to travel to our\u00a0Wadsworth office as needed<\/p>\n
Required Skills:
\nDesired:<\/p>\n
2 years recent retail office experience (Optical Retail preferred)
\nCertified
\nGraduate of Optical Studies Program
\nFamiliarity with Ophthalmology and Optometry practice<\/p>\n

\nSchedule (M-F):
\nMonday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM \u2013 5:00 PM
\nWednesday: 9:00 AM \u2013 6:30 PM
\nNo weekends<\/p>\n
