\nDuties\/Responsibilities:
\n\u2022 Repair and maintain printing\/converting and finishing machinery
\n\u2022 Maintenance support of the entire facility to include building, equipment and fixtures.
\n\u2022 Dismantle equipment and machinery to gain access to faulty components.
\n\u2022 Repair or replace defective components\/parts and return equipment to service.
\n\u2022 Able to use hand-held diagnostic equipment \u2013 vom, amp meters, strip chart recorders, circuit tester, etc…
\n\u2022 Re-assemble and test machinery\/equipment ensuring operations meet production and safety specifications.
\n\u2022 Troubleshoot electrical circuits, relay-logic, electronic components including P.L.C.\u2019s, pneumatic, hydraulic, and digital devices used in printing operations.
\n\u2022 Analyze, diagnose, and correct causes to equipment\/machinery malfunctions
\n\u2022 Test electronic components and circuits to locate faults, replace defective items, align\/adjust\/calibrate equipment.
\n\u2022 Follow written maintenance procedures and fill-in proper sections of forms, reports, and purchase requisitions.
\n\u2022 Interact with all appropriate functional groups and departments in the plant
\nRequired Skills\/Abilities:
\n\u2022 Solid work background in installing and troubleshooting PLC controllers, analog and digital electronics.
\n\u2022 Willingness to work afternoon shift
\n\u2022 Demonstrated abilities in analytical troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical problems.
\n\u2022 Computer proficient in MS Office (word processor, e-mail and spreadsheet)
\n\u2022 Ability to read and interpret blue prints and electronic schematics.
\n\u2022 Strong mathematical aptitude and understanding of scientific principles
\nEducation and Experience:
\n\u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent required.
\n\u2022 Three (3) years\u2019 experience as a maintenance\/electronics mechanic within a manufacturing environment.
\n\u2022 Must be certified electronics technician
\n\u2022 Solid experience in general maintenance to include plant air systems, power and electrical circuits, mechanical drives, pneumatics, plumbing, pipe fitting, etc.
\n\u2022 Strong background or participation in quality programs (ISO9000)
\n\u2022 Safety conscience and Team Oriented
\nPhysical Requirements:
\n\u2022 Prolonged periods of standing and walking daily
\n\u2022 Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.<\/p>\n
