\nJob Summary
\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Wall Panel Designer to join our engineering and manufacturing team. You will be responsible for designing cold-formed steel (also known as light-gauge steel) wall panels using specialized engineering software. This role involves transforming architectural and structural blueprints into precise, code-compliant layouts and shop drawings for manufacturing and assembly.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Design & Modeling: Create 3D models and detailed layouts of CFS wall panels, including load-bearing and non-load-bearing systems.
\n\u2022 Document Preparation: Generate accurate shop drawings, cutting lists, and assembly instructions for the production floor.
\n\u2022 Collaboration: Work closely with structural engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams (BIM) to provide creative and economical framing solutions.
\n\u2022 Quality Control: Review designs for accuracy, manufacturing feasibility, and material optimization.
\nRequired Qualifications
\n\u2022 Experience: Background in structural steel detailing or metal stud framing; cold-formed steel design experience is a plus.
\n\u2022 Software Proficiency: Experience with Autodesk software including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture and Revit.
\n\u2022 Technical Skills: Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills; ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
\n\u2022 Education: High School Diploma required; Associate technical degree preferred.<\/p>\n
Required Skills:
\nSoftware Proficiency: Experience with Autodesk software including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture and Revit.<\/p>\n
Technical Skills: Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills; ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.<\/p>\n
